'Trip to X' is a short documentary film, shot in New South Wales, Australia. The film captures the adventure of me and my friend Gabe exploring an abandoned powerhouse station till the next sunrise. The film was mostly shot with an 8mm handheld camcorder and includes some scenes shot with a NOKIA phone and an IPHONE. The film was selected to be part of the Sydney Underground Film Festival and was nominated Best Experimental Short at Indie Short Fest in LA in 2021.

Synopsis: SHIMX and GABX are friends who frequently explore abandoned buildings together. One day, they plan a camping trip to an abandoned building 'X' - an old disused power station. Here at X, life seemed to have been sucked out, but the building itself is still very much alive and calls to daring visitors.
X is a deteriorated paradise with colour-marked walls and floors that sparkle with shattered glass. But there is a presence that hangs over the space and with the aid of spiritual protection, the two friends become immersed in the world of X, leaving their own marks to the place until the next sun shines through the broken building.
